WELCOME
It's hard to believe that one month of the new year has already passed. We seem to be deeper into winter than we were in January with biting cold winds and snow forecast for this weekend (let's hope it doesn't materialise!), but the longer days and lighter evenings do show that winter is passing. I've even seen the first of the lambs in the fields - a real sign that spring is on its way.
NEWS
We've just about finished our annual deep-clean. January is always a quiet month sales wise, so we take the opportunity to clean everything (from the ceilings downwards), and repair or renew anything that needs it. We're looking really smart now with new flooring in the loading area, ready for a busy year ahead. The person I took on to help with the deep cleaning is looking for other work after next week, so if you need some cleaning done, get in touch.
I will be leading a walk again for the Malvern Walking Festival which takes place between Saturday 26th May and Tuesday 5th June. My walk is on the afternoon of Saturday 2nd June and takes in the southern end of the Malvern Hills, followed by a chance to taste and buy some of our ice creams and desserts. Further details of the whole walking festival can be found on www.malvern-hills.info. I will also be leading a walk for the Herefordshire Walking Festival which takes place later in June. Details next month.
I'm really pleased that once again I will be organising the Ledbury Food Festival in conjunction with the Ledbury Poetry Festival at the beginning of July. Last year's Food Festival had a wonderful 'buzz' about it. This year we've got some new ideas including 'Poetry and Picnic': buy your picnic ingredients at the food festival, then enjoy them in Ledbury's Walled Garden whilst being entertained by some poetry; and a morning bike ride to work up an appetite for all the goodies on offer.
