Delivery
Deliveries are on the second Tuesday in June and July, on the second Tuesday in August (TIMES promotion) and on the first and second Tuesdays in December. The exact time of delivery cannot be specified. The overnight courier service, which we use, delivers to most areas of mainland Britain. Please contact us if you live in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland or outside mainland Britain.
We will either telephone or e-mail you to confirm your order and delivery date.
Please make a note of the delivery date and ensure that you, or a friend or family member is at the delivery address on the day to receive the delivery. Someone must be at the address to take delivery and transfer the ice cream into the freezer on the day of delivery, otherwise the ice cream will melt. The courier will not leave the delivery if there is no-one at the address to receive it, and the dry ice will not keep the ice cream frozen until the following morning.
Payments
Payments are currently by cheque only, payable to: Just Rachel Quality Desserts. Please ensure that the order form and your cheque are returned to us in plenty of time, allowing five working days for the cheque to clear.
Refunds
You may cancel your order prior to despatch of the goods if you notify us in writing. After the goods have been despatched, your cancellation rights under the Distance Selling Regulations do not apply due to the perishable nature of the goods. However you still have your statutory rights under the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994. In case of complaint please contact Just Rachel on 01531 650639.
Liability
Every effort will be made to maintain the quality of the Mail Order Service. Just Rachel Quality Desserts is not liable for any cost or inconvenience that may occur from this service.
Packaging & Storage
To ensure that our ice cream reaches you in the same condition that it left us, the order is packed in dry ice in recyclable insulated boxes. Please remove the dry ice using gloves, and place in a well-ventilated place to evaporate. Place the ice cream in the freezer as quickly as possible. All our ice cream has a freezer life of up to six months.
